Neverwinter Nights 2 (NWN2) is a computer role-playing game set in the fantasy world of the Forgotten Realms, one of the popular campaign settings of Dungeons and Dragons. Obsidian's sequel to the 2002 RPG will be arriving on PCs in September 2006...

Whilst Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart was sworn to secrecy during a recent interview with TVG about the release date of Neverwinter Nights 2, it seems that the game's Community Manager simply couldn't wait any longer.

In a post on the official Neverwinter Nights 2 website, Shane K. DeFreest of
Maverick Public Relations announced that although an official statement wasn't due till later in the week, the game would be released globally in September 2006.

I will reserve my skeptical judgement until I can see info on game content. It is a shame they didn't strive for more compatibility. The modding world connected to NWN1 is going to so devestated. I will wait for feedback from them, whether or not NW... [ Read full comment... ]
