Net Falls For GTA 2 Legacy Timer News

Contrary to rumours that awash the net, it's just the old website for the second instalment happily ticking away...
It seems that some people can't get enough of GTA; not content with roaming around the triumphantly crime-riddled streets of Liberty City, it appears there are some on the web who can't help but pine for days gone by.
Rumours that Rockstar were preparing to launch an XBLA/PSN version of GTA 2 have appeared on the net, citing a timer on the legacy website for the game as proof. Speculation had also arisen that the supposed release would come in a matter of weeks (three weeks specifically, thanks to a second timer on the site), although this extra counter is there to strengthen the original idea that the GTA sequel was set a "matter of weeks" in the future...
It's also worth remembering that future releases over both XBLA and PSN have to be officially age rated, however neither PEGI nor the ESRB have done so, publishing only the age ratings for the original formats.
Guess we'll just have to continue playing through TVG's Game of the Month for April then...who needs to take a backward step after all???

yep the promotional codes for points and gamer pics no longer works, the codes have now expired even though there's no expiration date. nice one microsoft... [ Read full comment... ]
