Some very shiny new images from EA's The Fast and The Furi... er, new Need For Speed title.
With more than a nod to the Vin Diesel engine that was a surprise hit in 2001, this latest Need For Speed game is looking rather tasty, if a little shiny.
With customisable licensed cars, underground theme meaning night time races and progression up the ranks of street racers, this could be more interesting than most of the recent Need For Speed titles. These shots show off some nice car models and good scenery, also the train that is in a couple of images indicates that races could have interesting set pieces to liven things up.
We do feel that someone has gone over the top with the car polish, its a tiny bit too shiny, some more subtle use of reflection techniques would lend a more realistic feel to this game. But as it is not out until early next year there should be time to work on that.
