Namco Museum Reveals PSP Game Sharing News

PSP Game Sharing feature finally revealed, allowing sample games to be downloaded to another PSP…

In a revealing update to Namco Museum, the Japanese publisher and developer today revealed specific details on what the âGame Sharingâ feature has to offer on the PSP.

As widely expected, the feature bears a close similarity to that featured on the Nintendo DS (and before that the GameBoy Advance) by allowing a game to be downloaded onto a second PSP unit without the need for an addition game UMD.

In the case of Namco Museum the second unit will be able to download up to 7 mini-games, including Ms. PacMan, Rally-X, Dig-Dug and many others. Simply by activating the âGame Sharingâ on the host PSP, the transfer automatically begins when it receives a request from a second unit, which are then stored in the unitâs RAM until the PSP is turned off.

Itâs not yet known whether youâll be able to engage in multiplayer using this technique, although given the benefits weâd fully expect this to be the case.
