Guild Wars takes the best elements of today's massively multiplayer online games and combines them with a new mission-based design that eliminates the tedium of those games. You can meet new friends in towns or outposts, form a party, and then go tackle a quest together. Your party always has its own unique copy of the quest map, so camping, kill-stealing, and long lines to complete quests are all things of the past.

NCSoft Celebrate Guild Wars Success News

ArenaNet’s revolutionary MMORPG sits on top of charts throughout Europe...

NCSoft and ArenaNet continue to celebrate the runaway success of the excellent Guild Wars, topping PC charts throughout mainland Europe and beyond.

The popular MMORPG continues to sit on top of the UK PC Top 10 for the second week running, while the game enjoys similar success in both Spain and France where the MMORPG loving French population have ensured the Collectorâs Edition also resides in the chart at No.5.

The title has topped online retailersâ charts across the web, reaching No.1 at Play.com, SimplyGames.com, Alapage.com, DVD.it, Webhallen.com, Amazon.de and Amazon.fr.

Official figures released from NCSoftâs Korean head office suggests that during the first week of launch across Europe and North America, close to 250,000 players created free accounts on Guild Wars.

GW has the best PvP system and game mechanics. GW GvG >PvP in every other game. WoW PvE may be more entertaining to some grind-lovers.

I've just ordered the game, and it was £10, if i think its really good i'll get Nightfall in a couple of months too yeeeeeeeeey!

guild wars is by far the best of all the games free or not but factions sucks and nightfall isnt as good as wow if they do release eye of the north i would pay $80 for it

Yes Guild Wars is probably the best FREE MMORPG out there right now i would strongly suggest it for people who dont want to pay each month :P beside it has a good storey line and pretty long good game

If they make it so that we have to pay to play, they will loose TONS of business!
What makes Guildwars so unique is the free online play, and taking that away would be like putting guildwars down. Rusty syringe and all!
