Weeks after the US giant was bandied about as showing a potential interest in the UK publisher, new reports emerge that NBC remains in talks for a stake...
UK newspaper reports are today suggesting that US conglomerate, NBC Universal (which is partly owned by Vivendi) remains in talks with Eidos and SCi Entertainment for a stake in the British publisher.
The news comes just weeks after reports that NBC Universal was in talks with Eidos, for a potential joint venture in the publisher with Microsoft and Sony. The two platform holders haven't been mentioned in the latest round of talks.
According to The Daily Mail's report (picked up by UK trade mag, MCV) SCi boss Phil Rogers is in talks with both NBC and current shareholder, Warner Bros., with suggestions being that the CEO is close to hatching a deal with one of them.
Eidos has been the focus of attention by a number of companies in recent months, including fellow publisher, Ubisoft.
