The Battle of the Bands continues as both sides reveal a slew of upcoming downloadable content...

The countdown continues to tick away on the impending 'Battle of the Performance Sims' between Rock Band and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock in Europe, but both Activision and MTV Games are wasting no time is preparing the lists of Downloadable Content coming to their respective titles.

Scans taken from an issue of OXM and posted on ScoreHero has revealed a list of packs and singles for Rock Band, which can downloaded individually or as complete packs, with contributions from The Police, The Clash, David Bowie, Black Sabbath, and Radiohead. They join whole albums from Nirvana and The Who, which have already been announced in recent months.

Meanwhile, Activision has confirmed the two song packs (Foo Fighters and Velvet Revolver) recently picked up by ScoreHero, due to arrive in the coming few weeks along with a free Boss Battle pack that includes the tracks played by Slash and Tom Morello in the game.

"The Guitar Hero franchise was a pioneer into the music download space for next generation gaming," said Dusty Welch, Head of Publishing for Activision/RedOctane. "We're excited to provide Guitar Hero fans an opportunity to download and play their favorite hits from legendary artists."

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is due to hit Europe on November 23rd, with Rock Band beginning its debut tour this side of the Atlantic in the New Year.

"reach an agreement" means pay me for something I have not right to charge for or I won't play along. They also try to play up technical issues with RB, but all of their games are far from "flawless".
