As the Game Developers Conference begins in San Francisco, the Lionhead boss reveals the first trickles of a new secret project...
Fable 2 isn't even out yet - further details are expected this week - but that hasn't stopped Lionhead Studios' head Peter Molyneux from teasing gamers the world over with the work being done elsewhere within the outfit.
Revealed during an interview with Next-Gen.biz, Molyneux referred to a secret project currently underway by Lionhead's Black & White team, which he describes as "close to something revolutionary as I have ever seen".
Finishing off the statement with an even more tantalising, "and we're close to announcing it," Molyneux was apparently repeatedly asked to keep silent on the title by his publicist. So what's the Black & White team working on, given that the studio boss has acknowledged the secret project will be a brand new franchise? All we can hope for is that 'close to announcing it' really does mean 'close'.
Fable 2 is scheduled for launch on Xbox 360 later in 2008.
