UK developer behind Max Payne becomes RockStar mobile studio...
Take-Two Interactive today confirmed that it has acquired UK based Mobius Entertainment under the RockStar label, and will now see the mobile specialist renamed RockStar Leeds.
Formed in 1997, Mobius were most recently responsible for the excellent GameBoy Advance port of Max Payne; itās not been confirmed, however itās believed that this studio will front RockStarās first move on to the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS amongst others.
"We were very impressed with the Mobius development team from the time they began work on the Game Boy Advance version of Max Payne," said Sam Houser, president of Rockstar Games. "They bring a uniquely progressive vision to the titles they develop and we believe this studio is ahead of the industry on next-generation handheld development. We are proud to have them join the Rockstar family."
