During a recent interview in the Official Nintendo Magazine, Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed that he plans to unveil two new titles shortly.

It’s claimed that both the titles are currently as of yet officially announced, prompting speculation that this could finally be the ‘Mario 128’ and ‘Zelda’ announcement that Nintendo fans have been screaming out for.

Miyamoto-san suggested that both games would be released before the end of the year, which if true means the GameCube could find itself with a second burst of life later in the year. We’d expect Nintendo to hold of any specific announcement until E3, when hopefully Mario and Link should make up for the disappointment of last years Pac-Man debacle; we’ll have more details soon.
