Miyamoto Confirms New Pikmin News

At an E3 developer roundtable, the Mario creator announces that a new Pikmin is already in the works...
Four years after the last instalment arrived on GameCube, Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that a new Pikmin is in development. The Nintendo and videogames legend made the announcement at an E3 developer roundtable session in Los Angeles, where attendees got a closer glimpse at the likes of Wii Music and Wii Sports Resort.
Confirmation came towards the end of an open mic Q&A session, where the Mario creator said that an announcement of Pikmin 3 would be made when he's ready...which was a few seconds later when the translator confirmed that "We're making Pikmin."
The Pikmin franchise, one of the more compelling real time strategy series to hit consoles, includes many of the mechanics originally used in the infamous 'Mario 128' video, and followed the Earthly adventures of Captain Oilmar as he took control of an army of little beings known as Pikmin.
