Japanese publication gets an update on how Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey are progressing...
Two of the most anticipated Xbox 360 titles in Japan are Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, both currently in development at Mistwalker. In their latest issue, Japanese publication Famitsu, spoke to Mistwalkerâs Hironobu Sakaguchi (creator of Final Fantasy) about the two titles and how production is going.
Currently working on the opening movie for Lost Odyssey, Sakaguchi-san commented that theyâre planning a playable demo for E3 2006, and that the cut-scenes may have elements of player controllability. Moving onto Mist Walkerâs other title, Blue Dragon, Sakaguchi-san mentioned that the game will be released sometime in 2006 and that the game will make extensive use of motion blur effects. This second RPG follows the story of a young boy who has a blue fire-breathing dragon for a shadow though beyond that, details remain under lock and key.
The interview also confirms that the team at Mist Walker are currently working on an as yet unannounced third title, though Sakaguchi-san teasingly refused to go into the matter further.
Weâll have more news on Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and this undiscovered third title shortlyâ¦
