Take Two confirms a mid-October launch for Rockstar San Diego's City of Angels racer...

Previously expected in September, Take Two Interactive has today confirmed a revised release date for Rockstar Games' Midnight Club: Los Angeles of October 7th and 10th in North America and Europe respectively.

The fourth instalment in the street racing franchise is currently in development at Rockstar's San Diego studio, with the PSP version (Midnight Club: LA Remix) being tinkered with at Rockstar London. The fact that the handheld version is being handled in the capital leaves questions over what Rockstar's traditional potable powerhouse in Leeds is working on.

The third true title of this current generation of console, after Table Tennis and GTA IV (we won't count the Scholarship edition of Bully, which wasn't built Rockstar's proprietary next-gen RAGE engine), Midnight Club: Los Angeles takes racers to the California city, where they'll be able to experience the 'ultimate freedom to play however you choose'.

No explanation for the four week delay has been given by Take Two so far.
