Mid-March Launch For Dragon Quest Joker News

Square Enix confirms an early Spring release of the Nintendo DS title...

Following a statement towards the end of 2007 that a European release would take place early this year, Square Enix has today confirmed that Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker will arrives on Nintendo DS across the continent (and Blighty) from March 14th.

Set in the land of Green Bays, made up of seven very different islands, Joker is first instalment in the Dragon Quest Monsters series to see the light of day outside of Japan.

Besides the quest to collect and train 200 monsters throughout the game, Joker also includes the chance for players to battle it out in Wildcard World Cup over Nintendo Wi-Di Connection with North American gamers and others throughout the PAL territories.

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments, "After the great success of DRAGON QUEST since we introduced the series to Europe, I am extremely happy that we are now giving fans the opportunity to enjoy DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: Joker on the Nintendo DS. This is another stylish entry in the DRAGON QUEST series that will bring enjoyment to anybody that plays it."

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker launched across North America in November 2007 and way back in December 2006 across Japan.
