Microsoft To Launch HD Drive On December 1st News

As the Xbox 360 gears up for its first birthday, Microsoft confirms the European release date for the external HD-DVD drive...
Having confirmed the price of the Xbox 360's External HD-DVD drive back at X06 in September, Microsoft has today announced that the European launch date for the device will be December 1st - slightly later than the originally anticipated November release unveiled at the Barcelona event.
For a limited time only, the drive (retailing at £129.99) will come with the HD-DVD version of Peter Jackson's King Kong and a Universal Media Remote Control.
In addition to the HD-DVD drive, Microsoft is also releasing a number of other peripherals for the Xbox 360 in the coming weeks, including the Wireless Headset for £34.99 from November 24th, and the Wireless Racing Wheel for a somewhat pricey £89.99 - also out on December 1st. A limited edition version of Bizarre Creations' PGR3 will also be included, featuring full Force Feedback functionality.
