More on this gameFollowing the release of the Fall update Microsoft today announced the release of XNA Game Studio Express Beta 2, making significant inroads to Microsoft's vision of user created content.
Upgraded with full functionality for Windows and third-party toolset support, the addition of XNA Framework Content Pipeline appears to be the most significant introduction, enabling users to more effectively implement 2D and 3D content from third-party applications such as Autodesk 3DS Max, Adutodesk Maya and Softimage XSI.
Other features of the latest beta release include:
- New content importers for .X and Autodesk(r) FBX(r) 3D asset format in partnership with Autodesk.
- Xbox 360 project system gives game developers the ability to preview game design specifically for the Xbox 360 and pre-compile games starting today, giving developers a head start in preparing their games for the XNA Creators Club availability in December.
- Improved game component architecture updated with a simpler design, adding increased usability based on community feedback.
- Overall performance improvements and optimizations - XNA Game Studio Express Beta 2 is a near final version of the tool.
Over 150,000 downloads of the original XNA Game Studios Express beta were recorded, as the number of universities adopting the technology into their curriculum rises to more than 30 throughout the world.
Migrating games to the Xbox 360 will require an XNA Creators Club membership, which will launch simultaneously with XNA Game Studio Express and made available via the Xbox Live Marketplace for a one-year subscription of £65.00 or a four-month trial for £30.00.

how strange only it seams all the people who complane about the 360 happen to own a ps3 and still go on about the rrod which is now as old as the queen of england, ive never had any problems with my 360 and the rrod isnt realy a machine killer its actually quite a good feature on a console what kind of warning system does the ps3/wii have (none) the red ring doesnt nessaceraly mean the 360 is dead it has lots of meanings, if you look them up on the web youll see theres more to the red ring than you think and in most cases there is always a solution before you considder sending your console off to be repaired, also recently (since the elete release) all 360's have a trip switch inside them so if you get the red ring and have to send your 360 off chances are youll get the same one back but cleaned up inside, weather the 360 is reliable or not it make no difference to the fact that apart from no blu-ray movie play back its still a good games console easily able to show the ps3 a thing or two about its power (and before all you ps3 fanboys start saying the 360 is holding back technology look at who makes the ps3 and think for a second they still support the ps2 and the psp both using dvd or lower storage formats than blu-ray think about it)

I have to admit the xbox 36O was the top console.. until I was let down by 2 new ones. what with the red ring of death and not being able to read discs! Totally unreliable 3rd generation console.

lol well then your lucky that your 360 as not broke and for the record never said the 360 was crap i own all 3 formats and think they all have there own merits ,as for backwards compatibility how many acutully play old games on your ps3s or 360s any way i know i never have. i am a big fan of the 360 and have played many hours on one i know what they can do but you can't escape the fact that they are unrealiable yes they have improved them but there is still a problem with them unfortunataly but i am sure they will get there in the end .

can i just say its a waste of time comparing the 360 and the ps3 because sony recently announced that the ps3 is a computer not a console so basically the only consoles out for nexgen is xbox360 and nintendo wii.
