Microsoft picks up the publishing rights to TECMO’s forthcoming survival/horror sequel…
Microsoft today confirmed that it has picked up the publishing rights for the forthcoming Xbox adaptation of TECMOâs Project Zero 2: Crimson Butterfly.
Previously released on the Playstation2, Project Zero 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed survival/horror title. This time around, the terrifying journey takes the player to an entirely new creepy setting of an abandoned village. Players assume the role of Mio Amakura, a young girl who is gifted with a sixth sense, as she embarks on her horrifying journey with her twin sister, Mayu.
Following on from the Xbox conversion of its predecessor, Project Zero 2: Crimson Butterfly features an all-new first-person perspective, new costumes, more ghosts and a new survival mode that didnât feature in the PS2 version.
âProject Zero 2 is a hotly-anticipated title from one of the industryâs most renowned developers and weâre pleased to be bringing it to Xbox gamersâ said Stephen McGill, Head of UK Xbox Marketing. âProject Zero 2 joins a strong portfolio of forthcoming Xbox titles such as Halo 2, Fable, and Forza. Tecmo has been a great partner for us and this release is a natural step in the development of our relationship."
