Microsoft announces European details minus Microsoft Points and game rebate...


Following on from confirmation last week that Microsoft will be ditching credit cards as an access barrier to Xbox Live, the publisher today confirmed European pricing details for its online service.

A 12-month Gold subscription will cost £39.99, 3-month for £14.99 and 1-month for £4.99; with cards available at various retailers or to purchase via credit card on the Xbox Live Dashboard.

Bizarrely the European announcement makes no reference to the âMicrosoft Pointsâ system to redeem at the Xbox Live Marketplace, whilst the $20 rebate off any Xbox 360 title also appears to have gone amiss in the move to Europe.

Weâll have further information on the Xbox 360 soon.

oh yeah just for the record the chip intel are working on is a 16 core chip possibly even going as far as a 32 core either way the next xbox will have all the features of the ps3 and more (though xbox live still wont be free i dont have a problem wit... [ Read full comment... ]
