Microsoft Chops US 360 Premium Price News

$50 chopped from the price of a Premium Xbox 360 and 60GB model confirmed...
Gaining a head start on the E3 headlines, Microsoft today confirmed the widely expected Premium price-cut along with the introduction of a new 60GB model.
First glimpsed in the pages of US retailers, the price of the mid-range Xbox 360 Premium model is reduced to $299.99 from $349.99. Adding to the increasingly bulging model line-up, a new 60GB Xbox 360 will serve as the $349.99 replacement at some stage in early August.
Microsoft has chosen not to change the price of either the introductory Arcade or high-range Elite models, which retail for $279.99 and $449.99 respectively.
No word on whether a similar reduction will take place across Europe, although the hardware giant has kept prices across territories relatively similar in the past.
