Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting is nearly here, but first there's Frogger, Cloning Clyde and Galaga...
Xbox Live Arcade addicts and Capcom fanatics alike can take a deep breathe, Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting has a confirmed release date and there's not too long to wait.
As part of a new scheme that will bring fresh Xbox Live Arcade content to the Marketplace every Wednesday at 08:00 (GMT), gamers can look forward to a mixture of arcade classics and original titles in the forthcoming weeks.
- July 12 - Frogger
- July 19 - Cloning Clyde
- July 26 - Galaga
- August 2 - Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting
- August 9 - Pac-Man
Konami's Frogger should need little introduction, originally arriving in the arcades back in 1981 and gracing numerous home consoles ever since. Dodging traffic and eating flies along the way, Frogger features an assortment of Achievements for players to accomplish, along with enhanced artwork, a fresh soundtrack and multiplayer modes to mark the 25th anniversary of the game.
Cloning Clyde is the latest title to come from the creators of Outpost Kaloki X, which promises to bring a wacky, but classic animation style to the world of Xbox Live Arcade.
NAMCO's Galaga also marks its 25th anniversary this year, and finds its way to Xbox Live Arcade later in the month with a variety of enhancements, along with Xbox Live multiplayer options.
The big one, and the one everybody's been waiting for, is undoubtedly Capcom's Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting, which promises to provide the greatest Xbox Live Arcade experience yet - Augst 2nd just can't come soon enough.
Finally NAMCO's Pac-Man is perhaps the most nostalgic of classic titles to arrive on the Arcade, with Xbox Live multiplayer options, Achievements and much more likely to make this the best adaptation in a long time.
