The hit racer FROM the 90’s gets reinvented for the next-generation.
Infogrames today announced a revival of the 16-Bit classic, Micro Machines, due for release on the Playstation2 and Xbox. The series won both critical and commercial success in the 90âs, with Codemasters providing a fun and entertaining system that amongst other things allowed four people to play with just two pads, indeed it was one of the titles that bring back favourable memories.
After an unsuccessful change from cars to people in Micro Maniacs for the PSOne, the series development duties have moved over to Infogrames with their Sheffield House currently in charge. We had a brief play at the recent E3 event and came away impressed, the âfun factorâ that made the original titles what they were seems to have survived the move from developers and machines intact.
The game offers eight different characters to choose from, each with their own personalities, special attributes and weapons.
Micro Machines is due for release in November, weâll have more soon.
