Long-running WW2 FPS series to make its Wii debut in March 2007; Vanguard replacing Airborne for PS2?
Electronic Arts has today confirmed development on Medal of Honor: Vanguard for Wii and PlayStation2, with a broad release period of March 2007.
Following the exploits of Frank Keegan of the US 82nd Airborne, Vanguard puts gamers into the heat of battles from Sicily through to the heart of Nazi Germany itself - a route that mirrors the exploits of Boyd Travers from the next-generation Medal of Honor, Airborne.
"Medal of Honor Vanguard features a strong storyline told in classic MOH fashion," explained Matt Sentell, Senior Producer at EALA. "We are really excited to offer this game both on the PS2 and Wii, which will allow fans to experience MOH in a completely new way."
What's unclear is whether Vanguard replaces the previously announced PlayStation2 version of Medal of Honor: Airborne, or whether today's unveiling is a subtle way of suggesting that Airborne will be delayed to a late 2007 release.
