The rumour has once again resurfaced suggesting that this will back Nintendo's Online push...
It was first rumoured that Mario Kart for the GameCube would be online around the release of the machine last year, today that rumour resurfaced in Japan indicating that the title is one of four planned by Nintendo to support the GameCube going online in 2003.
Reluctant in the past to have anything to do with online gaming and the internet, the recent announcement regarding the release of the GameCube Modem and Broadband Connector seems to have kicked a change in their thinking and strategy.
The rumour from Japan suggests Mario Kart will be joined by Mario Party Online, Animal Forest Online and another unknown title, all due for release in 2003 when Nintendo finalise their online plans for the GameCube in the West.
