Two new screens from quite possibly our most eagerly awaited E3 title...
New screens from Mario Kart: Double Dash today brightened up a dreary Monday morning. Quite frankly this is the one game above all others that we want to play at E3, you can have your Halo 2ās and GTA: San Andreas, all we want is that Mario goodness.
Rounding up the facts known thus far:
- Itās known that two characters now man each kart, one driving whilst the other dishes out the dirt with a range of attacks. Players are free to swap between these during the race as every character has varying attributes, suggesting that the game will have more of a tactical edge compared to previous titles. Every screen released so far shows similar characters matching up (Mario with Luigi, DK with Diddy Kong), itās unknown whether you can mix-and-match these or if itās just specific teams that you can choose.
- Itās rumoured that the game will allow for eight players, whether this is via the rumoured LAN link up or other means is currently unknown.
- GBA link-up.
Weāll have a lot more on the title very soon, when weāll be pushing to the front of the queue and hogging the stand until they kick us out.
