Majesco Set To Co-Publish Clive Barker's Demonik News

Horror writer's second videogame set to be published by Majesco on the next-gen consoles in 2006...
In a joint statement, Majesco and Tiger Hill (owned by movie maker John Woo) have today confirmed Demonik, a next-gen title from horror writer Clive Barker. Currently in development at Terminal Reality studios, home of Majescoâs Bloodrayne franchise, Demonik is a third-person action game that allows player take control of a demon in order to wreak total havoc onto the world.
Announcing the game, Ken Gold, Vice President of Marketing for Majesco said, âDemonik represents the extraordinary collaboration of some of the finest creative talent working in Hollywood and video games todayâ¦We're confident that this culmination of artists, storytellers, and developers will define the action/horror genre for the next-generation consoles."
Clive Barker added that, "Demonik will be an intense gaming experience. I'm having a lot of fun enriching the game's mythology and polishing the characters till they shine. And, of course, adding a little bit of Barker darkness. Demonik promises to be a game that you will play with clammy palms."
âClive is known for creating great and horrific villains. In the game, you get to play the villain, and in the movie, you will be terrified by him," states Brad Foxhoven, President and Co-founder of Tiger Hill Entertainment. Yes, thatâs right â“ Barker also has the option to produce a film based on the game, although thereâs no release date or even a production date for that.
