Kojima-san's fourth Metal Gear Solid adventure rakes in the sales for the Japanese publisher...


Konami has published its financial results for the fiscal first quarter, which ended on June 30th, and revealed a giant leap in both sales and profits thanks mainly to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Over 3 million units of the PlayStation 3 exclusive title have shipped to day, with Konami revealing that sales are steadily increasing.

Sales for the first quarter rose by over 116% to ¥70.81 billion (£ million), whilst profits rose by a massive 165% to ¥11.61 billion (£ million).

Beyond Solid Snake's final outing, the continued performance of PES 2008 in Europe and DDR in North America both helped the three month results.

1. ITS METAL GEAR! EVEN FOR A METAL GEAR GAME THIS GAME IS FREAKING ROCK SOLID!
2. It's the only mgs game with a multiplayer component. (except for mgs3:subsistence)

beauty and the beast, liquid, snake, frank jaguer, raiden, roy campbell, naomi, otacon, vamp, all great characters in mgs4 except frank aka grey fox in mgs1
