Konami confirms a European release date for Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Online...


Following the earlier announcement of a late Q2 2008 release for Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Konami of Europe today nailed the release down to a specific date... there's not long to go.

June 12th brings an end to over three years of waiting, the date when Metal Gear Solid fans will finally be able to enjoy Kojima-san's last ever title in the MGS universe (perhaps).

Confirming that the release will comprise of one Blu-ray consisting of both Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Online, Konami has announced that fans eager to join in on the action will be able to sample the public beta of the dedicated online title before its release.

Time for PS3 owners to get very excited.

This is a prime example of developers blaming someone/something else for their short falls. For an example of a great looking game that relied on superb programming (and not a super computer) you only have to look at Half Life 2. I wish these lazy ... [ Read full comment... ]

I dont really care how good it looks as long as it plays well.I think the best in the series is Solid on ps1.it plays great and and has a great story.stick to that and all is well in my book.Besides it will hit the 360 in a year or two.lol.be well al... [ Read full comment... ]

again.... it doesn't matter what console you use, its up to the developers to bring the goods...After all, what good is an xbox or ps3 if the games are no good. Stop arguing about which console is best, and just enjoy the games

besides haze, killzone 2, R2, FF, and many more ps3 just sucks....jp ..... ps3 is gonna win this year
360 is a little baby compared to the ps3 and which get sick more often ..

Xbox holds like 8 gig of info. i dont care how many times you have to repeat the same texture but it sure as hell wont fill 42 gigs of extra space. Face it blu-ray is superior. although it would be a hilarious port... 7 disk game anybody??lol
