From Japan comes a set of juicy new rumours on the return of Snake in the jungle...

Metal Gear Solid fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as news from Japan today suggests that Solid Snake will be the main character throughout Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, easing fears of another âRaidenâ fiasco.

Hard-core MGS fans were close to uproar when they realised that you could only play as Snake for a limited time in MGS2, before switching to Raiden â“ one of the most annoying âside-kicksâ ever created.

Although Konami hasnât officially confirmed the news, the report also alleges a variety of other interesting features set to be included in MGS3.

Itâs claimed that the game will make use of Dolby 5.1ch surround sound, however we assume this will be solely used for the games cut-scenes; whilst the report mentions connectivity with the Playstation Network Adaptor, but not for multiplayer features.

In our First Look at the title, we mentioned on Snakeâs importance to hunt the various animals within the jungle location for food; itâs now known that food will rot over a certain amount of time, to ensure youâre always on the search for food.

However the biggest revelation and not entirely a surprise given the gameâs timeline, is that there is no radar in the game; instead players will have to rely on keen sight, hearing and night-vision goggles.

David Hayter needs to exercise and grow some hair on his head and chin to be solid snake. Plus I think he's perfect for it. But iuno about christian bale as the snake...he's a better liquid than solid

Oh and btw, you people need to stop jumping on one guy. Im sure there are about 20 other actors out there who could play snake. Jumping on one guy and saying anyone else would be horrible is just plain stupid.

Hugh Jackman is not nearly as good an actor as Christian Bale. Plus he stars in to many cornball action movies. Bale is the greatest actor of our generation. If he stars in this movie it is bound to be incredible.
