A new selection of screens showing Snake's new techniques...
Konami today released a selection of screens from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, demonstrating the variety of new techniques available to Solid Snake.
Snake can now take down two enemy guards with one bullet from the sniper rifle, providing the guards are close enough and heâs got his angles correct â“ handy for those times when ammo is running low.
The images also depict the memorable demonstration from the E3â04 trailer, displaying the improvements to the in-game physics model as Snake rolls a barrel down a hill to knock the legs from underneath an unsuspecting guard.
Finally we can see the whole aspect of food as Snake attempts to anaesthetize a snake, in order to pop him in a basket to either use later as food or as a weapon against the guards; killing the snake instead of using anaesthetics would result in the snake decaying in a quicker time and rendering it useless.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is scheduled for an Autumn release in Japan and America, however recent chatter has suggested that Europeans may have to wait until 2005; rest assured as soon as the date becomes clearer weâll be sure to let you know.
