Konami of Europe confirm that Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance will contain the bonus 'making-of' DVD.
Konami of Europe recently confirmed that the European release of Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance will contain the âThe Document of Metal Gear Solid 2â a DVD documentary containing information about the games development and everything else an MGS fan could possibly want.
Designed as a fully interactive experience, the DVD divulges the game's deepest secrets. The many 3D characters, maps and backdrops can be closely examined from any angle, while additional demonstration of the polygon-based sequences used in the game can be paused, played in slow-motion and viewed for key angles to gain greater understanding of how they were accomplished. Similarly, the DVD also includes an easy to understand description of the programming techniques and their implementation in the game. Project proposals, the final script, staff profiles and previously unseen behind the scenes footage complete this revealing looking at Metal Gear Solid 2's creation. The DVD also includes an isolated version of the game's haunting soundtrack.
Unfortunately it appears that only the Playstation2 version will contain the DVD; Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance is scheduled for an Xbox release on March 7th, followed by the Playstation2 version on March 28th. Weâve recently acquired review versions, so weâll be brining you our opinion on the game soon.
