Finally Star Wars Galaxies players can explore the greater depths of the Star Wars universe…
LucasArts today confirmed the release of the first expansion pack to its Star Wars MMORPG.
The main introduction featured in Star Wars Galaxies: The Jump to Lightspeed comes in the way of 15 different vehicles for space exploration and combat; something sadly missing from the original release, and bound to please fans of the title.
Starfighters and other Starships will feature in the Expansion Pack, allowing players to join up with allies and fly familiar X-Wings and TIE-Fighters into battle against faction-alligned opponents and AI controlled ships. In addition various transport vehicles similar to the Millennium Falcon will also be added to the game, allowing players to venture through space with other characters aboard.
Set in the Star Wars timeline between Episode IV and Episode V, the first expansion opens 10 vast and distinct space sectors, spanning from the Core Worlds to the Outer Rim, for players to explore whilst engaging their opponents in combat. In addition the pack features 100 new missions, which see players venturing through asteroid fields, nebulae and space-junkyards while honing their skills in four new space professions.
In addition the pack contains two entirely new and customisable species for players to select.
Star Wars Galaxies: The Jump to Lightspeed is scheduled for an American release in the Autumn; weâll have more information soon.
