OK so it was announced last year, however a year brings a platform change + other details...
LucasArts today announced further details of Sam & Maxâ return. Previously announced last year, the forthcoming PC title is a sequel to the hit 1993 point-and-click adventure, starring the famous crime-solving duo of a talking dog and a hyper-kinetic bunny.
Originally intended as an Xbox title, the game now appears to be in development solely for the PC. Last years announcement came from the now defunct developers and Sam & Max creators, Infinite Machine, at present its unknown whether they are handling this title.
âSam & Max Hit the Road is a classic and as close to being a signature game as any LucasArts has ever done,â says Simon Jeffery, president of LucasArts. âThe Sam & Max sequel, much like the recently announced Full Throttle II, perfectly complements LucasArtsâ renowned adventure game legacy and lends further support to the companyâs commitment to investing in and developing more of our original properties.â
Unfortunately no other details have been announced, itâs believed that the game is scheduled for a Q1 04 release, so thereâs some time yet for Sam & Maxâ¦
