Lost Composer Found Again News

Codemasters found Michael Giacchino last week, this time it's the turn of Electronic Arts to sign up the music man...
It seems that scoring Codemasters' upcoming Turning Point: Fall of Liberty isn't enough for composer Michael Giacchino, as EA has today confirmed that he's also penning the music to the oft-delayed Medal of Honor: Airborne. Parachuting into Europe on August 24th, four days ahead of North America, Airborne aims to re-invigorate the franchise, with an emphasis on flanking tactics and open 'land anywhere' gameplay.
"I'm very excited to have the opportunity to work on a game that tells such an epic, honest story. The Medal of Honor Airborne team is a very talented group of people and working with them on creating music to fit their innovative game was a true highlight for me," said Giacchino. "Video games are another vehicle to tell a story, and music plays a vital role in that."
"Medal of Honor Airborne is delivering innovations that will redefine not only the franchise, but to the entire genre," said Patrick Gilmore, VP and Executive Producer at EALA. "We are thrilled to have Michael Giacchino on board once again, really bringing the game to life."
Giacchino already has experience writing compositions for the World War II shooters, having scored MoH: Underground, Allied Assault, and Frontline - together with Call of Duty: Finest Hour for Activision back in 2004.
