SCEE confirms release details for the PSP camera peripheral...
Having recently unveiled the evolution of EyeToy on the PlayStation3, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today confirmed the long-overdue camera attachment for the PSP.
Dubbed Go!Cam, the peripheral will be released across Europe and other PAL territories on May 16th for £34.99. Using a 4GB Memory Stick, the Go!Cam provides up to 2.5 hours of video recording space and the ability to store over 40,000 photos. Sitting neatly on top of the PSP, the Go!Cam features a built-in microphone; the ability to change the direction of the lens vertically by 180 degrees; and Go!Edit software to save and edit photos, films and audio clips.
''Go!Cam is fantastic news for all those PSP owners looking for something new, fun and creative," said Stephane Hareau, PSP Marketing Manager, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. "With Summer around the corner and the ability to turn your PSP into a mini camcorder and capture all the best moments in your life, this is yet another reason to get a PSP and to take advantage of truly portable entertainment. It demonstrates yet again the potential, versatility and evolving nature of PSP.''
