Konami of Europe confirms the assistance of D12 to provide soundtrack and characters within Crime Life: Gang Wars...
Hip Hop is flowing throughout the TVG office today as Jon finds himself bumping to the grooves of âWhere The Hoodâ and âEnemiesâ; coming quickly after the first video footage of Eidos 25 to Life, comes news that Konami of Europe have enlisted the assistance of D12 for its own urban influenced title, Crime Life: Gang Wars.
The Detroit based rappers have recorded the main theme for the game an exclusive bespoke track entitled âThrow It Upâ, and will also provide the likeness and voices for leading bosses of the gameâs HeadHunterz rival gang. In addition the game will also feature musical contributions from some of the hottest up and coming stars, such as Guvnor P, Doom Man and Jason Flemyng, Seyi, Sweetie Ire, Dek the Raw, mnemonic, All You Can Beat Productions and Stylbik.
Focussing on a young hood named Tre, the player has to pick their way through the many criminal opportunities on offer throughout the games Grand Central City location. Taking obvious influence from the likes of New Jack City and Boyz ân the Hood, Crime Life: Gang Wars features a strong narrative as Tre attempts to protect those close to him from exploitation and abuse while also looking out for those that conspire against him.
