Football and RPG elements combine in the latest DS title from the creators of Dragon Quest VIII...
Level 5 today unveiled its latest DS title in the shape of Inazuma Eleven. From the acclaimed Japanese developer behind the likes of Dark Cloud and Dragon Quest VIII, Inazuma Eleven proposes an unusual combination of RPG and football, which will likely guarantee the Japanese developer another DS hit to add to Professor Layton and the Curious Village.
Assuming the role of a football coach with over 1000 promising stars to choose from, players will take control of a vast range of management options. Sounding deliciously similar to Sensible World of Soccer, players will also take to the pitch using the stylus in a variety of ways to perform different techniques such as passes, shots and tackles.
Wi-Fi play is promised, although it's unclear whether the game will support Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection at this stage.
