Empire Interactive are set to release Crazy Taxi and Virtua Tennis for the PC maraket...
Empire Interactive today announced that it plans to develop and release Virtua Tennis and Crazy Taxi for the PC market. The firm has had a successful time converting previous Sega titles to the computer format, including; 100 Swords and Sega Marine Fishing. However these two titles mark the biggest secured yet.
Speaking about the deal, Empire CEO Ian Higgins said that, "It's a real coup for Empire to have acquired the rights to publish Sega's leading Dreamcast games on the PC. These are landmark titles that are already proven in the console marketplace, and I am confident that they're going to prove to be every bit as successful on the PC as they were on console."
"We're glad to be developing Crazy Taxi for the PC in-house," another Empire spokesperson told us. "It will definitely be looking at least as good as the Dreamcast version, especially with the PCs higher resolution capabilities."
Virtua Tennis will be released in February 2002 and Crazy Taxi is due out in April 2002.
