Leipzig GC'05: Nintendo Press Conference/GB Micro Euro Date + Price News

Few surprises from Nintendo's conference as Nintendo opt not to talk about its Revolution but confirm GB Micro dates and price...
Nintendo today made a host of unsurprising announcements at their Leipzig Press Conference, reconfirming aspects that formed their conference earlier in the year at E3 and making no reference whatsoever to the Revolution.
Confirmation came that the GBA Micro will arrive slightly before anybody was expecting on November 4th 2005, and will be available in four colours namely Silver, Green, Blue and Pink for £69.
âThe Game Boy Micro is the latest fashion statement from Nintendo and is an absolute must have for those looking for a stylish console. This new product takes everything gamers know and love and condenses it into a sleek and sassy shell. Game Boy Micro is about expressing yourself and the way you play video games.â
Perhaps the biggest news is the fact that Europe will shortly be receiving Blue and Pink Nintendo DS models, although surprisingly no mention of a similar price-cut to match yesterdayâs American strategy was made.
Mario Kart DS scheduled for release in Europe on November 11th was demonstrated and allowed Jim Merrick to speak about the merits of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection; a system so simple it requires no passwords or URLs.
Finally the loveable Nintendogs and recently delayed The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess were demonstrated and shown in trailer form respectively.

most games you can play like a bare bones version with just one copy and 2/3 DS's, some you need a copy of the game each. like mariokart has a few courses and only one character for each person if you're sharing a catridge, but ... [ Read full comment... ]
