Legend of Zelda for Gamecube News

So this is what Link now looks like! Mixed opinions FROM everyone at the moment, however CHECK out the latest screens FROM Spaceworld 2001.

When we first saw the screens for Zelda on GameCube at the last Spaceworld, everyone was truly amazed. The level of detail was second to none, the power of the GameCube was truly present.

Miyamoto went on stage to show a number of products in development for both the GameCube and GameBoy Advance, the impressions we got were fantastic.

During a short presentation of the games currently in development, Zelda popped up, however it wasn't like the Zelda we saw before on the GameCube. Oh!

The version we saw looked just like a cartoon, now that's not a bad thing. It seams that the designers have gone back to Zelda's original roots, and have produced something much more in key with the Zelda franchise. Now for those of you that are instantly knocking this game, stop! It looks FANTASTIC and the animation is superb. The level of detail is still amazing and the sheer amount of action on screens is unbelievable.

The new approach has led to a more charismatic feel, that hasn't been felt in previous versions and the Spaceworld 2000 demo.

I think Mr Miyamoto, was slightly worried how the press would take the new Zelda, however from what we saw, it has won us over. Nice one Nintendo.
