Microsoft has unveiled their new Game Precision Series of peripherals with the Laser Mouse 6000, which has been specifically created with computer games in mind. The wired laser mouse has been developed for greater accuracy and performance with the software features including a âPrecision Boosterâ which enables gamers to flick between âultrafast speed and precision controlâ, and a âGame Toggleâ that allows gamers to switch between favourite weapons or frequently used actions. The mouse also features a scroll wheel with greater accuracy.
"We heard from gamers that they wanted a mouse designed specifically for their PC gaming needs, equipped with features and functionality that will optimize [sic] their gameplay," said Tom Gibbons, general manager of the Hardware Group at Microsoft. "We are now excited to say that we have answered that request with a perfect PC gaming solution: Laser Mouse 6000. Equipped with a thin, flexible cord for the feeling of wireless, gaming-specific software features, advanced laser technology and more, Laser Mouse 6000 will take gaming to a whole new level."
Also forming part of the Game Precision Series will be the Xbox 360 controller, which has been designed as cross-platform peripheral between PCs and Xbox 360; whether the Laser Mouse 6000 will also form part of Microsoftâs cross-platform ethos will have to be seen â“ be we wouldnât be too surprised to hear that it will be Xbox 360 compatibleâ¦
