Largest Update Yet For Team Fortress 2 News

Valve's caricatured shooter will get a new map with this PC update, which is due to go live today...

Team Fortress 2 on PC will get its largest update since the game was released as part of Valve's Orange Box. The most significant new offering will be the all-new Badlands map and it's scheduled to go live today.

This new Badlands map "pushes control-point gameplay onto vertical landscapes," or so the press release would have us believe. Presumably this means there'll be many scalable buildings with hard to reach control-points. Answers on a postcard for that one, then.

Three of the existing maps have also been improved. Better performance and gameplay are set to grace Dustbowl, Granary and CTF_Well.

Networking, graphics and player statistics have also been optimised, while Valve has also tweaked Source TV in order to make your tournament viewing that bit more enjoyable.
