Tomb Raider: Underworld sees Lara undertake her riskiest mission yet, descending to the depths of the underworlds. For generations, stories have been told of the fearsome weapon of the Norse god, Thor. Legend has it that he who wields the hammer has the power to smash mountains into valleys and the strength to destroy even the gods. For more than a thousand years it has existed only as a myth...until now.

Eidos confirms a late Autumn release for Tomb Raider: Underworld...


Despite continued speculation over its future, SCi Entertainment/Eidos has today announced that Tomb Raider: Underworld is on track to launch in November.

The upcoming Lara Croft adventure, which sees the aristocratic adventurer scale the depths of the Norse underworld, had originally been slated for release this summer but was pushed into a broad 'pre-Christmas' period back in January. News of the November release comes as Eidos launches a new Tomb Raider portal.

TVG got a quick look at the adventure, the first built specifically for the current round of consoles, earlier in the year.

Tomb Raider: Underworld is scheduled to launch on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, and PC.

Why can't Tomb Raider have both Core and Crystal Dynamics making games? I mean Ratchet and Clank have got 2 different developers making games: Insomniac Games(PS2 and PS3) and High Impact Games(PSP)! CORE could continue the AoD Triology and Crystal D... [ Read full comment... ]

You know how Lara has different outfits to change into? Why not do it with the enemies with an option to choose a costume from a past game ex: The blue Strahov guard suits from AOD, Cop outfits etc THAT WOULD BE SO COOL! PLEASE EIDOS PUT IN UNDERWORL... [ Read full comment... ]

I am so excited about this game! I'm hoping it's more challenging than Legend and Anniversary. I can beat those games in a day! But you can definitely expect me to be first in line to buy it on December 1st!!

Hope there will be more then ten levels that I've heard. If it does, AoD will still have the longest amount of levels and hopefully if Kurtis Trent returns, please be a cheat called 'Kurtis Storymode'
