Check out LEGO Star Wars; this gets better every time we see it...
Eidos today sent along further information and new screens from the quite frankly unforgettable LEGO Star Wars. In what initially appears to be one of the most blatant attempts to merge two franchises in a desperate bid to grab your cash, LEGO Star Wars surprised everyone whoās seen it with its beautiful style and fun gameplay, creating a brilliantly conceived alliance that blends the unique worlds brilliantly.
Featuring the most memorable scenes from The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and the forthcoming Revenge of the Sith; players can expect to go pod-racing on Mos Espa, repelling a droid onslaught Genosis along with Obi-Wan and Qui-Gonās fatal fight with Darth Maul. Players take control of a variety of characters from the trilogy, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Annakin Skywalker and R2-D2, fighting against such evil characters as Jango Fett, Darth Maul and Count Dooku.
Progress through the game revolves around switching between characters to solve puzzles using their special abilities, with over 30 characters and defeated bosses becoming unlocked as you advance through the game. Vehicles feature within the game to a large scale, including classics such as Speeder-Bikes, Pod Racers, Naboo Fighters and an as-of-yet unannounced vehicle from Star Wars Episode III: Return of the Sith.
As we previously reported from our Hands On at EGN, the game includes a novel two-player ādrop-in, drop-outā co-operative mode, allowing a second player to freely join in the action whenever they choose and drop out when itās time for tea.
Weāll have more information and a closer look soon.
