Midway announce a raft of vehicles, soundtrack artists, and vocal talent for their forthcoming PS2/Xbox title...
Midway has today unveiled some of the details of its forthcoming title LA Rush, which will be released on Xbox and PlayStation2 in October 2005. Set to feature 36 licensed vehicles and an additional 16 specially designed concept cars, LA Rush follows the exploits of a street racer called Trikz who discovers that his collection of cars have been stolen by his arch-rival Lidell Rey (voiced by Bill Bellamy - Any Given Sunday, The Brothers.)
Taking place in five areas of LA, the game also features the West Coast Customs crew with an exclusive relationship with Harris Publication's RIDES Magazine, as well as including 75 songs from some of the leading hip-hop artists including Lilā Kim and Twista (who also plays one of the protagonistās rivals.

Making the announcement, Steve Allison, Chief Marketing Officer, Midway said, "LA RUSH pimps out and juices up this classic Midway franchise while staying true to the fast-paced racing, death-defying shortcuts, and rooftop jumps the series is famous forā¦The game features more than 35 of the hottest licensed cars and an additional 16 exclusively designed concept cars that can be fully tricked out by the world famous crew at West Coast Customs. Top celebrity and hip-hop talent add to the game's innovative story mode and make LA RUSH one of the must have racing games of the year."
