Konami Reveal Winning Eleven 8 News

Konami disclose details on the latest title in the massive selling Winning Eleven/Pro Evolution Soccer series…

Konami today revealed the first details from the hugely anticipated Winning Eleven 8, promising more refinement, more teams and a vastly improved Master League mode.

Scheduled for release in Japan on August 5th, the number of domestic teams featured has been increased from 64 to 138, promising accurate names for clubs from the Spanish, English, Italian, French, Dutch and German leagues, whilst national teams will bring this closer to 200.

The Master League will now see players suffer from morale losses, thus players have to take on more of a managerial role as they deal with player morale, form and fitness; whilst players that are past the mark will now retire from the game.

Finally the game will feature visible referees, whilst various enhancements have been made to the weather effects, resulting in dirty shirts during those rain-soaked encounters.

On to the actual game and Konami Tokyo are promising a number of improvements, particularly to the long passing system and control of the ball; whilst weâre assured that the dribbling system has been enhanced along with a wide range of new tricks such as two players taking free kicks.

No mention yet of online support or any indication as to whether the Xbox version will be based upon this; however you can bet weâll have more details and the first screens soon.
