Metal Gear Acid mixes the astounding aesthetics the series is famed for with a unique card-based battle system. Assuming the role of series hero, Solid Snake, Metal Gear Acid is set in the year 2016 and begins as a terrorist faction hijacks a jumbo jet carrying a man understood to be the next US President. The terrorists demand the handing over of a project known only as 'Pythagoras', which is understood to be in development on the isolated Lobito Island.

Metal Gear Acid which is currently in development for Sony’s forthcoming handheld gets it’s teaser website…

Konami today launched the first website for their forthcoming highly anticipated PSP title, Metal Gear Acid. Along with the website, came new information on the title.

As we are well aware, the games graphics will be off high quality similar to the PS2, whilst the game is played in the context of card battles; providing a more strategic offering then previous games in the series. Many of the characters have already been announced along with the elements of what card they have. Take for example, the Colonelās card lets you bomb an area of 5x5 whilst the Metal Gear Ray lets you attack 5 cells for 100 points of damage.

The cards are set into 5 different groups which consist of Action Cardās, Item Cardās, Support Cardās, Weapon Cardās and Character Cardās as mentioned above. The Action Card gives players the ability to kill a person with one hit, which is known as the Best Shot card; whilst the item card lets players use items such as body armour which decreases the damage done to you when hit. The support card lets you elude, and the weapon card lets you use weapons such as the SOCOM.

Weāll bring you more information soon.
