Videogame adaptation of Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit set to be published by Konami...
Konami has today confirmed that it is to publish the videogame adaptation of the forthcoming Wallace & Gromit movie, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit on Xbox and PlayStation2 later this year.
Closely following the plot of the film, Curse of the Were-Rabbit will allow for single-player and co-operative play as gamers try to unearth the mystery thatâs threatening to ruin the townâs Great Vegetable Competition. As well as trying to stop the Were-Rabbit, players will also have to face up to the gameâs main enemy, who has stolen Wallaceâs âMind-Manipulation-O-Maticâ and is turning everyday animals in snarling Were-Beasts.
"The game has given us the opportunity to create a more adventurous environment for the characters. Deeper storylines, that couldn't be accommodated in the film, have been developed and are there ready to be explored" commented Nick Park, Creator and Director of Wallace & Gromit. "The Were-creatures, for example, was a theme we would have loved to have included in the film, I'm delighted to say that they are here in the game."
"We are delighted that our video game interpretation of Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit will be released alongside the film," commented Kunio Neo, President of Konami of Europe. "The film is certain to be a massive success and we look forward to its fans playing this fun and enjoyable game. We are certain they will love its inventiveness and the chance to interact and further enjoy the unique humour of Wallace & Gromit within its many stages."
The game is in development at Frontier Developments who were responsible for the previous Wallace & Gromit title, Project Zoo, and is set for release in the Autumn â“ weâll have more shortlyâ¦
