The Japanese publisher accepts a ‘third party allotment’ of shares leaving Hudson Soft a Konami subsidiary...
Konami have today announced on their Japanese website that they have accepted an offer of 3 million shares to become the majority shareholder of Hudson Soft, which has been experiencing a downturn in fortunes. The additional shares mean that Konamiâs stake in the company has risen from 45.47% to 53.99%, leaving the company behind Bomberman a Konami subsidiary.
The announcement comes on the back of news last November that Hiroshi Kudo, co-founder of Hudson Soft, had left the company after it forecast a loss of just under $70 for the end of the fiscal year 2005.
Weâll be keeping a close eye on Hudson Soft in the future to see whether todayâs news can turn around its fortunes...
