Gearing up for the worldwide launch of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Konami today announced its plans to commemorate the European launch with a pre-order scheme and limited edition.

MGS fans who pre-order a copy of the game can receive an exclusive DVD titled Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2. The seven-part documentary chronicles the origins of Metal Gear Solid, offering a valuable insight into the esteemed series and the backstory of the series' iconic hero, Solid snake.

A Limited Edition version will also be available for £79.99 (how much?), which includes a soundtrack CD, a 6" figurine of Old Snake, and a "Making Of" Blu-ray disc. Containing two high-definition documentaries which offer a behind-the-scenes look at the development of Metal Gear Solid 4, fans can look forward to exclusive interviews with Hideo Kojima and key personnel.

1. ITS METAL GEAR! EVEN FOR A METAL GEAR GAME THIS GAME IS FREAKING ROCK SOLID!
2. It's the only mgs game with a multiplayer component. (except for mgs3:subsistence)

beauty and the beast, liquid, snake, frank jaguer, raiden, roy campbell, naomi, otacon, vamp, all great characters in mgs4 except frank aka grey fox in mgs1
