Kaido Racer is a fast-paced racing title that faithfully recreates some of Japan’s most famous mountain courses. The game features several authentically modeled courses taken from all over Japan, and invites players to test their skills in the mountain regions of Akagi, Zao, Aso and Haruna – each of which is fraught with danger and will challenge even the most accomplished drivers. Each race is fought against a number of CPU-controlled drivers or against a friend, and mixes official tournaments with more lucrative night-time events.

Konami Announces Kaido Racer News

New racing title allows players to experience some of Japan`s most famous mountain courses...

Konami has today announced that Kaido Racer will be released on PlayStation2 in November 2005. The racing game, which sees players race across several Japanese mountain courses including Akagi, Zao, Aso and Haruna, features several gametypes including tournaments and night-time events with over 149 licensed cars including Nissan, Honda, Alfa Romeo, and Suberu.

Kaido Racer offers players the chance to race in four key âBattleâ events: SP Battle sees players try to keep a âspecial gaugeâ as high a level as possible by driving as not losing the lead or hitting an opponent. CA Battle places emphasis on the players skills in drifting and successful cornering, accruing points for every drift. FL/LF challenges the player to either stay at the front of the race or come from last place to win, whilst TAC Battle mixes the elements of SP Battle but within a very strict time limit.
